Dax von Dorfbaum is the sweetest 12 month old Shepherd mix. Dax is smaller than a full sized shepherd, maybe around 50 pounds. His pictures really don't do him justice, he's a very handsome, loving boy. He loves to cuddle with you and gets along great with other dogs. He's a lap-dog in a larger dog's body with a calm temperament. Dax is very alert to his surroundings and walks well on leash. We think he would be an excellent choice for a first time shepherd owner. A few minutes with this sweetie pie and you will be in love just like we are.

Or as writtenby another volunteer: Dax is an absolute gem of a Shepherd mix.  At the adoption event where most dogs are nervous, Dax was happy to sit with a volunteer and be pet.  He will just lay his head in your lap as if to say "I am ALL yours!"  He will make a great dog for someone who is looking for a true companion.  He does not seem to have any aggression with other dogs or people, and while he looks like a "tough guy" he is 100% love bug!!
